Yep. I thought that was a good movie, don't know how accurate it was. If it's like the Vietnam movies, not very.

Went to New York with my daughter in '03, still a big hole they were starting to build in, a few buildings still being torn down, several still being repaired. NY City is a noisy place, but people were real quiet at the Trade Center site, just machine noise. Buildings around it had big photos of what they looked like inside before cleanup and repairs, everything inside some of them covered in concrete dust and those trade center buildings to the west all smashed inside from falling debris. Quite an experience.

Saw it. Sad. A friend of mine served with 2 of the 4 that died. Never asked him about the movie.

Looks a lot better than getting all those miscellaneous body fluids splattered on you carrying bodies and wounded in helicopters with no doors. Sure glad that was before AIDS...

Be hard to see out of that cockpit, too. Those were my Dad's favorite plane in WWII. Had a gruesome story about how a P47 pilot took care of some German troops when he ran out of ammo. Think lawn mower...

A little research says that that P-47 did indeed fly in WWII in the Philippines.

I discovered today that dealers pretty much charge what they want on Dealer Assy and Prep but $1595.00 and another $1595.00 for shipping? I had to call BS on those and the GM challenged me to find it cheaper. He refunded my deposit and I called the dealer in Waco where I bought the King and sure enough, $895.00 and $895.00. I know they have to make a profit, but damn.....

Did you see the post about the guy suing HD because of that. Supposedly, the dealer is paid by HD to assemble and prep the bike.
