I just spoke with the owner of a local company, Adam's Ribs, in Gainesville regarding catering our BBQ. I've eaten at this place a few times and their food is great.
That weekend is UF Homecoming weekend so many of the joints are booked up (as Kimbo noted). However, Adam was nice enough to agree to cater our event after I asked him real nicely. The only thing is they will NOT be cooking on site (not enough resources/manpower).
For the past 5 years, our BBQ has been $20. This year, the cost will be slightly more, $25. That will be ALL inclusive - food, sweet/unsweet tea, catering services, paper plates, utensils, delivery from Gainesville, server for the time there, etc. That cost ALSO includes extra for getting liquor/beer, etc.
I'm still working on the menu, but it will most likely include ribs, chicken, pulled pork, garlic (or cornbread), sides and tea. I will be bringing homemade desserts (brownies/cake/jello shots, etc) and will take care of getting the liquor with the extra money.
Please take the poll above noting how many people are coming. I will use that information to give the caterer an idea for now.

Total amount $25 (more is welcome and WILL be used for liquor purchases and/or souvenirs if funds permit (koozies, keychains, etc)
I have the reservation on hold with my personal credit card with the agreement that I am going to give a cash deposit within the next two weeks therefore I need payment as soon as possible.
