I'm a firefighter, one of my co-worker/friends had the misfortune of witnessing a motorcycle fatal crash, probably less than 25ft. away from him, while he was collecting for MDA (Fill The Boot). My friend was a motorcyclist and owner of a Street Bob. That incident was the end of his biking career. Said he won't forget the sight of the cyclist running into a car. Cyclist fault. It is sad that these things happen and it is bad that people have to witness these things. May that girl Rest In Peace, and May God keep her close to Him.
Sorry to hear what you just went thru Paul, like you said, just a bunch of friends out for a ride, you just never know!! You folks be careful out there.
When riding with new riders its always best to watch them closely and give input when you pull over or stop and talk if you notice them having difficulties that are dangerous.

+1 on that.
I see too many groups that leave someone behind who is not as experienced. Take care of your less experienced riders so they don't feel left out and do something dangerous.
It's difficult to get images like that out of your head. As long as someone learns from this tragedy and a life is saved, it's not as horrible.
