Panama City sights not too miss?
Barbara and I are going to stay on the gulf/beach in Panama City...
any roads/directions/places I may not want to miss? We are not going at a crowded time...
just looking for the favorite local places to ride to, eat and drink a beer...listen to a guy playing a guitar. (Crap.....I may as well stay home.LOL..)

Fort Walton Beach has a great HD dealership.
Also, Crestview, small town north on S.R. 85 (I think) 20 minutes from the coast, has Earl's Seafood and Oyster Bar on Main Street. It's only open Thursday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, October thru May. I'm not sure about any music there, but if you like oysters, its the place to go for a cold beer, cold ice tea, and oysters shucked fresh right in front of you at the bar.

If you get a chance, take about a 45 min ride from PCB to the "Outpost for bikers" in Freeport. Really great biker bar. Sunday afternoons are the best time to go. During rally there are several hundred bikes that make the ride most days. Its a lot of fun and a really nice mellow country ride there. The "beach House" on the west end of PCB is a locals place with a great gulf view and cheap beer. Its a fun funky place. Wife and I go there about once a week or so.

Best way to go. You may want to stay in Apalachicola as an overnight. This is a good place. http://www.apalachicolariverinn.com
