Default I need cheap but decent tires...

Bike has over 17k miles on it now and the tires are almost shot. The front tires are actually worn more than the back, which is odd to me.

The bike has Dunlops on it now, which I suppose could be the original tires? I bought the bike with 10k on it.

Should I shop tires online, then go to a local Indy for install? I suspect that will be the cheapest way?

Any help appreciated.

Scott

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ or https://www.denniskirk.com/ Usually have the cheapest prices. A good time to try out some Dyna Beads instead of wheel weight for balancing. http://www.innovativebalancing.com/index.php I always order my dyna beads from http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...le-Starter-Kit Some indys will not install tires you did not buy from them. Ask your favorite one if they will or not. Cycle gear will install tires for free if you buy them from them and take them the wheels already off the bike. http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/storeSe...DISTANCEUNIT=1 They usually have pretty competitive prices as well.

Not sure where in Tampa you are but if you are up to riding to Lakekand you can give Franciscos a call. Really good people and good prices too.

Rockymountain atv/mc. Best prices, free, fast shipping over $100. Take them to a Honda dealer if your Indy won't do it.

Metzelers 880, Avon Venoms, or standard Dunlops...

Any real difference as far as Florida riding goes...or just get the cheapest of those?

Try J&P Cycles, just bought some Shinko's. There were Yokohama before it burned to the ground and the Koreans bought the mold. Good tire and very inexpensive. Just bought a set for my girls fatboy. Under $160 for two...

Wow. $160 for TWO?

That kind of sounds like a "too good to be true" scenario, where they last about 1000 miles.

Have you done any research on how they hold up? The price is definitely right!

Naw, shinkos are good tires. Lots of the crotch rockets guys swear by them. They will give you good wear as long as you buy a cruiser tire.
