we were out riding the loop yesterday up in Ormond before heading for home yesterday and the love bugs were out and so were the white butterflies (maybe moths, but I think butters)
they were all over the place riding the loop, all the way up A1A to high bridge, then got worse as we went into the park and the tree canopy
luckily driving home around 5 oclock in the truck they either were sleeping or you guys had killed off most of them for me, cause the truck did not get killed on the way home.
Left Cape Coral last Thurs. in the car, are they the bugs that leave the white spatters on the windshield? Or is that another Fla bug?. Front of the car and windshield was covered with them.
Yep, and usually pieces of their black bodies as well. You want to clean their splattered guts off painted surfaces ASAP. The acid in their bodies will eat right through paint in a couple of days.
I have only seen a couple (no pun intended ) of the here in Palm Bay

Though it is a little early and this springs swarm has not been as bad as in years past they are out there. Not sure where your riding except maybe up and down A1A. Take off across 192 for lunch in St Cloud and let us know what you find.

If they are no where else in FL will find them there ...
take a dryer fabric softener sheet (used) and a little water, elbow grease and they will come right off. don't let them stay on for more than a day, they will destroy your paint, chrome and aluminum lowers
