I know Leesburg is like 300 miles for some of you and may be to far to ride in one day but I understand you want to put those miles on your bike. This may be a solution for you.
now now Gator, there's nothing wrong with trailering, I carry the wife's and my bike up to Daytona all the time
there's just no way to carry three 90 lbs labs on two bikes and we always travel with our kids

To each their own. Trailering is more like camping than riding. It depends on what home comforts you want to bring with you. Like kids, dogs, barbeque grill, frozen drink maker, satellite tv, picnic table and a dinner tent. It all varies from person to person depending on the experience they are looking for.
We're headed up Thursday midday. And I'm continuing on to Charleston, SC on Saturday on my own. We are going to take 27 all the way up... and that trailer adapter is hilarious. Sorry for the delayed reply, working 12 hour days doesn't leave for much free time. It has been nice riding to and from work every day though
