Why are all the rides at some ungodly hour of the morning?

There's rides I would love to go on but when they start at 7 or 8 am it's just way too early. I know in the summer there's the afternoon rains and heat to avoid but now that the weather is cooler, what's the reason?

Maybe if I wasn't a "night owl" I could understand early morning rides...

 

To make the day longer so you can ride longer. It's all about the riding. Plus you get to stop
along the way to BS, eat, drink (if it's that kind of crowd) and still have daylight to ride some more.

 

Well most of us are old and dont sleep anyway, hell some of us are so old they spend more time at night going pee than they do sleeping. Then there are the ugly people (myself) who gave up on the beauty sleep thing a long time ago. Try jumping on the rides when you wake up catch up or meet them mid ride.

 

 

I'm with you. I always ride solo. I get started around 10 am and get home by sun down. That's my typical MO.

 

I wake up at daylight, about 6:30 or so, my alarm is set for 5:40 for work, my lazy *** shuts it off, and I wake when it's light out. My wife is a night owl too, it's hard to get her up for an early ride as well.

 

Dang I think I fall in there somewhere. Old and Ugly. Hehe

 

It all started with my Mom when she said I had to be home before the street lights come on and that has stuck with me so I sleep as long as I want and leave at 7 so I can get home.

Gave up on trying to ride with others. Most really aren't into it for the riding, or wrenching on their bikes. Most are in it for the fashion show at the rallies with their leather vest seeing who has with the most patches, most tatts, etc.
