Some of our crew ride 600+ miles...so, unless you are staying over night somewhere...you might want to make it home the same day. They may not want to start out at 2 in the afternoon. Doesn't matter what time you ride though!
Gave up on trying to ride with others. Most really aren't into it for the riding, or wrenching on their bikes. Most are in it for the fashion show at the rallies with their leather vest seeing who has with the most patches, most tatts, etc.
Well most of us are old and dont sleep anyway, hell some of us are so old they spend more time at night going pee than they do sleeping. Then there are the ugly people (myself) who gave up on the beauty sleep thing a long time ago. Try jumping on the rides when you wake up catch up or meet them mid ride.
Personally I like to get up early to enjoy more of the day, I ride at night when I have to or for short distance, but if I'm doing a ride I like to start early, have breakfast, and enjoy the day, and be home or at the motel by sundown.
