Default Love Bug Status - Central/North FL

I'm heading to NC tomorrow and hoping the pests are gone.
Am I going to be disappointed?

Just did a Rolling Nam Wall Escort Yesterday (2nd) From Inverness to Crystal River pretty much Bug Free .. On the way home, caught a few between Williston and Lake City, but not enough to be concerned with .. Nothing a quick wipe down when stopped wouldn't take care of ..

Just a few hang a rounds, cooler weather should finish them off.

That's what I wanted to here....
Cool weather, zero chance of rain and no bugs.

Lee, are you headed up that way? I'll probably be up there (Franklin) for a couple of weeks.

Lovebugs gone from Sebring to Orlando to Tampa... The cold snap should have given them their final squish.

I picked up a few around the GA state line yesterday, but nothing too bad. The cool snap we've had the past 3 days seems to have done for them.

Hopefully it holds long enough to get me out of town Wednesday morning. Maybe I'll see you in NC, cHarley.

Interesting to read these comments. I road west across 192 then back south down Hwy 441 yesterday. I would say the Love bugs are less dense than the spring flight but I spent about 1/2 hour cleaning the front of our bikes yesterday evening as they were plentiful and by no means gone.

The cool weather should adversely affect them though.

Ride Safe -- Pack your woolies. It was a bit nippy up that way this morning but suppose to be great in a couple days.
