ok alot of people say u need a windsheild for longer rides. but i did couple 300 mile lunch runs do u all think windsheild is really needed on my nightster for long runs?
It really depends on the individual Matt! My son will never put one on his Sporty. He calls it a wimp shield. But me! I like mine. Keeps the wind blast off so I do not tire as easily and makes the rain not hurt as bad. But then again I have twice as many years on me than my son does.
I never had a windshield until last Summer me and my girl at the time was rollin down the highway about 75mph when a cloud formed in front of us and too late! A swarm of honey bees will make a mess on your face and upper torso at 75mph! I got a high tolerence for pain...but dayum! Had to pull over and pull stingers out.....since then....sometimes a windshield and sometimes not...depends on the cruise. If you think it won't happen to you...you have not ridden enough.
