Default "Love bugs"??

Heading down with a group to Key West from Virginia. Expect to be traveling down I95 through Florida on June 2 to Key Largo and on to Key West on June 3. What can we expect as to the "love bugs" that I have read about? Are they normally gone by then? If not, any tips as to avoiding and/or dealing with them?

They should be pretty much gone by then. You can really avoid them, though, when they're out.

Just make sure you clean them off the bike when you can. If they sit they get to be a pain to remove (and they can eventually damage your paint). A good coat of wax beforehand helps.

Love bugs give the term "flying f*ck" a whole new meaning...but they should all be gone by your arrival...but man they have been thick this season...

We are in the peak of the spring Love Bug season right now so hopefully they should be gone by the time you head this way.

They are a truly a menace when they are swarming. Here is a photo from earlier in the week.

Default bugs

Yeah just come up from Miami they are real bad around Melbourne area. They migrate from here to there. Wd40 on a soaked rag and wipe down the front of your bike are vehicle keeps them from sticking.

WOW! I do hope these things are gone by June 2!! What do you use to get them off while you are one the road? Looks like they are so bad that you have to pull over at times and get them off the windshield (and probably your face too!) Does spraying peroxide loosen then up enough to get them off with a rag on the windshield?

soak a towel with water and put over the bugs and let sit for a few minutes and they will loosen up and wipe off
