Lol.... yeah, I know. Been getting home late and a little "under the weather" next morning. Did not ride till 11:00 this morning, actually that was yesterday morning st this point.

Your title of the thread made me jump steve, glad to hear it wasn't anything fatal or put you in danger. Glad you found out in casual braking rather than emergency situation.
Mark this one up as electronics that are supposed to make things better actually doing just the opposite.
Compensator nut has to do with the primary drive and it "compensates" for abrubt changes without initiatiting it into the gear that would cause damage.
The 'ol gal has been torn down (when I replaced the tranny) and that bolt needs to be at 50 ft. lbs. that's a hell of a lotta torque! Hard to believe it could go bad, but then again, it's a HD. I would do it under warranty with that guy before he gets laid off, quits or becomes another statistic of the economy.

Better built absolutely! I wouldnt trade 'down' to a metric anyday. Their Reliability, well... Not just in my case (modified beyond necessity w/ that blower) but in many others. Certainly isn't like the ol' days HD however.
