I thinking this is a cool way for the Florida Crew to support our Troops and get a new pair of dogs. I'm thinking the Seal's boots might work for me.

Well I'm only able to talk about one of the boots I found on that site. As I have a pair of Bates M-8 tacts I wear on a daily basis. They were comfortable the first time I put them on (even wore them the entire day and following day for my graduation from basic). They feel even better now(a year later nearly).
So if you don't mind wearing tans I'd go that way. I'm not sure of the Seals but they are from the same company so I'd expect great feeling and pretty long lasting wear out of them too.
What I've heard of the Altma brand boots is that they take a bit of time to break in and until they are broken in are not exactly comfortable.

Nice find, Kimbo! I'm 'bout due for a new pair of boots myself.

Great info there, T'Hass!! Gotta ask ya 'bout the fit. Do these boots typically fit the proper foot size... or would you recommend a 1/2 size up or down for a good fit? I only ask because.. I normally wear an 11.5, but have found with some I have to go with a 12 for a good fit. It's tough for me to buy a pair of boots without first tryin them on...

Hass, thanks for the info, I assume you are referencing the 1450 which is Army issue vs the 1452 which is Air Force issue. Both look like a lower cut them some of the others. I'm mixed about tan vs black. I think the the fact that the tan stand out more and make more of a statement for support of the troops. The black seals look good too.

I bought the 5855s last year (only boot offered at the time). Altama makes a good boot, and they fit well.

Black is better, you walk faster with black boots. I like the steel tip 1130 boots, I may get those.

I have a pair of the new cruit boots, tan, they are pretty comfy compared to the ones I was issued back in the day. I always wore jump boots on base and my worn in cruit boots and jungle boots in the boonies. I find the kids that I know over there in the box/afgan like getting 5.56, 7.62, and 50 cal cleaning equipment and headspace and timing tool, I spend quite a bit at Midway and CTD gathering and sending care boxes of cleaning equipment. Seems things never change, the REMF's grab the good **** so they can keep their weapons nice and shiney, the grunts get the left over crap or whatever they can steal, same today as it was going back to Valley Forge, fkn REMF's.

The cruit boots are a good buy here.

For those of you that don't speak military REMF stands for Rear Echelon Mother F*ckers...typically clerks, supply officers, and ******.
