Default Arizona Ride 2012

Hey All
After talking to you all in Ocala I realized how many of you are looking forward to riding in Arizona. Dale and I discussed it and decided we would postpone the Sturgis trip in 2012 and plan a ride in Arizona instead. Tentative date would be mid April 2012. I know some of you will ride out and others will fly due to time restraints, but plan on a week of riding out here including an overnight ride to Tombstone. Other rides will include some day rides through beautiful mountain grades leading to Prescott, Sedona, Jerome and Payson. I am posting this early so you all have time to plan for this. We don’t have a large crew out here like you do but I have a few select riding buddies that will be sure to join up for the fun.
OK… who is in?

I'm in! as much as I want to go to Sturgis, the things to see in Arizona are too much to pass up. I know I can't do both but given the choice of the two Arizona wins hands down.
Thanks for the invite Bro and for inviting all my (our) friends to come along.

There is a nice bike friendly hotel near Deans that Jay stayed in last time. It is perfect and not too expensive. This is the chance for all the people who were sorry to miss the last ride out there. Lets plan early and make it happen.

...And I WILL hold the owner of Big Nosed Kates saloon to his offer to let us pull our bikes in the bar next time. That place knows how to party.

I chose April because of the extreme weather here. The trip to Tombstone (which is a must do) would be brutal that time of year. Combining trips would reduce the riding time in AZ and I have too much to show you all here. April it is!

We're in! I'm gonna start savin' my today. I'm currently at 3 vacation weeks per year now. Assuming I'm still with the same company in 2012, I'll plan on taking the whole 3 weeks at once to make this happen!

I think he'll make me work the corners to make this happen. LMAO...

Seriously.. I'll get a huge jar and we'll mark it "Arizona" that way it's a conscience effort to put money in there all the time. Cuz we sure ain't missing this again!!

Yeah! Now we are talking! when I started thinking about putting this together I visualized you both being here! I know you will do everything within your power to be here in '12.

I get plenty of vacation as I am an old bastard, if ya ride out eat canned beans and drink Meister Brau, it is a cheap trip, oh and sleep under the stars too. I am geared up already, want a green chili burrito.

Sounds good, and the lead time is just about right (I can save up for a
new front tire by then).
Barbara would fly commercial airline if she decided to go.
Dean, keep me in the loop of the goings on with this idea.
(Dale, we meeting at your house for this ride....?)

at first I thought it wouldn't be within my healing range and would at least fly out to see my sis and nephews out there combined with my 2nd family the 'crew'.

But being 2012 hell I'm sure I can make that one! finances should be back in order by that time, I like Brenda's idea of the big 'ol jar!

Dean it was great meeting you and I see why we can allow you in on out lil crew we got goin'
