lots of luck guys. went to arizona in 2010 for the mile dirt track in prescott valley. it was the last of april and the weather was terrible. interstate was closed 2 days because of wind. snowed from flagstaff to grand canyon...next day the temp. was 14 degrees. rode from grand canyon to sedona and never got above freezing. north rim of grand canyon does not even open until middle of may. stay down south if you go to arizona in april.

Yeah, I was kinda wondering where that came from. Notice the t shirts in the pictures. The weather could not have been better for riding in the valley and the mountains. We picked April for good reason. I lived there for 20 years and Dean has been there for closer to 30. We know when the best time of year is to go.

Would LOVE to do this trip!! I WANT to go, but the likelyhood of me actually going, is less than .1% at this time. That would be such an awesome trip.

Dale and I discussed it and decided we would postpone the Sturgis trip in 2012 and plan a ride in Arizona instead. Tentative date would be mid April 2012. I know some of you will ride out and others will fly due to time restraints, but plan on a week of riding out here including an overnight ride to Tombstone. Other rides will include some day rides through beautiful mountain grades leading to Prescott, Sedona, Jerome and Payson. I am posting this early so you all have time to plan for this. We don’t have a large crew out here like you do but I have a few select riding buddies that will be sure to join up for the fun.
OK… who is in?
