An end of May ride North would be something great to do. Rolling Thunder (Memorial Day) in Washington DC is a sight to see. Gettysburg is three hours North of there.
Barbara and I went a couple years ago, didn't make it to Gettysburg, but rode around the Shenandoah Mtns (50 minutes or so from DC). To ride/drive non-stop from Daytona Beach
to Wash DC is 12 hours. Not that anyone has to go non-stop....but when I was stationed there in the Air Force...I used to.

Here is a link to one of the places we will be stopping for grub while you are out here. Ask Dale about this place. Pretty cool.

Jerry
If you are coming here in July/ August give yourself a fiull day to do this ride.

You will not regret it. The ride is outstanding. It is 550 miles from my driveway and back, doable in one day. Let me know ahead of time and I will set it up. I can probably put you up for the night if you don't mind a sofa bed or air mattress on the living room floor. Same goes for you Jay. Just give me advance notice so I can accomodate you.
