Tracku app should do the job, even jetskis business in florida uses it to track their crews real time over the sea:

We are being overrun with the businesses posting lately, Nothing to add, no hello, no intro...just buy this! I still want to know where that $35 bucks is going!!!

What 35 bucks? For Forum Membership? Not a lot of value that I have found.

I'm rockin Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), which isn't even released yet. There's a couple of good, free, GPS tracking apps in Android Market.
