Richmond Hill to Rosco Chilli Challenge
I will be riding down from Richmond Hill GA on Sat 6th Nov to Lakeland for the Rosco Chilli Challenge. Not keen on doing the interstate route so looking for the best way down.
At present I am looking at either US-301 and FL-471 or US-17, FL-19/33
Any comments on either route?

Or

This will be the first ride on my new bike, 07 Road King, so really looking forward to it
I did post this in the 'Road Trip' forum but then thought might get more feedback here

If you really want to take the senic route try this. It turns you 6.75 hr ride into 8.5 hrs but whoose counting. BTW I just threw the ferry ride in for fun. I've never done a ferry on the bike but, I'd like to. Either way I'd stay on US17 through Brunswick only because I like the big bridge there and taking A1A down the coast will eb slow but its a pretty ride. Once you get into Central FL SR19 and SR33 aren't bad at all.
Hope this helps, (no warranties expressed or implied)

Will give this serious consideration, always looking for the most scenic route without going to far out the way.
Must admit I was veering towards the US-17 route only because I saw this post; https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...each-trip.html and liked the look of the road :-)
