Well I have become used to teh Fla heat, so when it gets below 60 I wear gloves, had frost bite in the past and hurts even when moderatly cold now, so do all my legacy broken bones and joints. I did buy the whole heated outfit from tourmaster, great buy for the money spent, gerbings are suppoed to eb better but dont use the stuff that much to justify the extra money spent.Try a long sleeve T shirt and some leather gloves and upgrade at Basspro when you need to.

Bill dont forget to check your anti freeze fluid levels.

If heated-grips is what it will take to keep you riding, get 'em. If a good pair of leather gloves with Thinsulate will do the trick for you, then do that. Florida may be warm enough for us to ride year-round, but 40deg at 60mph is still a killer on windchill.

Went riding today for several hours (first time in a long time I could ride during the daylight hours) and wound up with my typical "bikers tan" on my hands..... My gloves keep my hands protected, but the tan/burn ends at my wrists and includes a circular patch on the back of each hand where the gloves don't cover.....

I LOVE Fla wintertime......

For that very reason I stopped wearing fingerless gloves with holes at the knuckles. With the way I tanned it looked as though I had paws.
