its not if but when
well today was the when. laid the bike down tonight taking a slow corner pulling into the complex. trying to avoid the kids who didnt move. cut it to short and the pegs/engine guard grabbed the ground and yanked me down. it was a slow slide. it tore up my right elbow a bit, boots are shot. tore the laces and eye holes. this is why we wear pants on the bike. phone has a few hair line cracks in it, was attached to my right hip.
bike has a typical scratches on the engine guard, passenger foot board as i can see.
the kids didnt even come check on me.

Glad you're ok, but not everyone eventually goes down or drops their bike. It could happen to me tomorrow, but I don't believe it's a given that just because we ride that all of us are going down. I'm not talking about you, but some of the people I see ride, I'm not surprised they drop their bikes every few months. They Don't need to be riding in the first place!

STOP dropping your bike. Get the RLAP (Ride Like a Pro) video and practice the moves. It's mostly all about slow speed cornering/handling, and not getting caught off-balance.
Even if or especially if you've been riding 45 years or whatever.
As the man says; that's one year of riding done 45 times. We're even teaching it to our RC on a dedicated 'rider improvement' day.
I do understand that you could have still gone down, but most likely not.
