just went to the scene of the crime. the bike slide about 50ft. what i remember is being off the bike and watching the bike slide another 15ft cause it was still in gear, then it shut off like it should.
dave i had so much adrenaline that i could have picked the whole bike up.

Sorry to hear about this BDM but glad it wasn't worse. Could have happened to any one of us.

 

Your bike slid 50 feet??? How fast were you going? I would like to see video evidence or eye witness accounts of the incident before reaching a verdict. This story is getting more interesting by each post. The kids didn't help you....?little smart a** kids were probably laughing at you. Kids will laugh at anything. Also, today's Harley riders would have laughed too and probably would have not even help you pick up your bike.

 

Dang Man 50 ft. You made it sound like it just dropped at a slow turn, sorry to sound callous if I did. I agree with JD though, it's just a phone.. could be much worse.. could have chunks of your leg missing. There I go being callous again, ah well, you know I keep it real
I am a little concerned about your hip though, maybe should get some x-rays?

hip feels better today. elbow hurts but it will heal. going for a ride tomorrow night to the beach.

 

BDM...sorry to hear that you went boom....glad it wasn't worse, even gladder still that you didn't do it in front of the Crew...your azz would never live that down....and yeah I would have helped you pick it up...made sure you weren't maimed...then pointed at you and laffed real loud....(yeah I know my turns coming....laff all you want ...just get this heavy SOB off of meeeeeeeeeee)

 

Yeah, I'm glad you're probably okay too; could have been worse. I also thot you were in a slow speed tipover. Incidentally, the RLAP video shows a lot about speed handling and avoidance, and picking up your bike where even your wife can do it.
Not pimping their stuff, just being my happy ol' helpful self.
After you practice it, your buds suddenly seem to ride like goofs. It works.

Well Nuts!!!!! Sorry to hear. Sounds like any scrapes to the bike were simple bolt-on things. Easy to erase. Bump/slam to the hip may help you predict rain one day. Heeee heee. Glad it wasn't worse.
