And now they are on the home stretch !! Just past Fairbanks as of 6:30 this morning. Mapquest says it's about 578 miles to Homer.

 

Update from Mrs. Blaster on FB; Day #12- To those who have been anxiously waiting for Jerry's where about. He is in Tok, Alaska as of 2:42 AM. He didn't have phone service until now. He attempted to text me while he was riding through out the day but it did not work. He said he got hooked up with Bubba 6/30 early morning. Part II of Day #12, Jerry and Bubba have been riding together all day, but did not make too far due to the rain and treacherous road conditions. They have to ride to Fairbanks, AK( one of check point) and to Anchorage, AK and to the finishing point (Homer). I am very grateful to Bubba who has graciously went to look for Jerry. Thank God all is well.

I got a text from Jerry this morning. he said the last 700 miles has been treacherous. Raining hard with very challenging cliff side roads in the Yukon mountains.

Especially after 12 days of straight up riding... Hang tough, MasterBlaster! Keep the rubber on the pavement... the finish line is near. I don't give a fat rats **** where you place, weather or not you get even one freakin gold coin.. you are a Ridin' Champ from where I sit... here.. behind this computer!

 

I can't imagine. As soon as I mentally try to compare to some of the "hillsides" up here, I know instantly that I don't have a clue. Plus the overall fatigue from a trip like this. Jerry is my hero.

If Jerry is still hanging with Bubba, then they should get done today.

I just calculated them to be about 400 miles from the finish line.Basically just a "burger run" left
