Sadly, there has been a death.
Linda Lynn The accident is not a rumor, Chuck Lynn was close to Casper Wyoming and he had an accident, the police said he went over a hill as a result died, He is my nephew and I don't have all the info as far as if it was a cliff I am sure you will be updated as soon as all of us get more info. I hope you understand this is a very hard time for us and we were trying to make sure all of the family was notified first.

Carol Lynn Ward Staggers Not a rumor. Fact!!! It happened around 2 A.M near Casper, Wyoming. He went over a hill, the police called it a ravine. It was not days, it was hours that his tracker was not moving. That is what made us start trying to contact someone. Please try to respect our family at this time. I am also his Aunt. The lady who wrote the above post is my sister and Chuck was our brother's son. Our brother is also deceased. We also lost our youngest brother in March. So please we have had so much sorrow in the family, so will you please just ride the rest of the race in honor of our fallen Warrior. Thank you for your understanding.

Ferreted this out. Go to the bottom half for how he setup his bike for the challenge and completely to the bottom where the routes are posted as he gets them!

Very sorry for the loss to the Lynn family.I know it's not easy, but try to find solice in knowing Chuck passed on while doing one of things I'm sure he treasured in his life. We could all be so lucky to pass on while doing what we love most. My most sincere condolences to the Lynn family and friends of Chuck Lynn... R.I.P.

Post from Mrs Blaster on FB; Jerry just phoned in (4:39 PM) said that he is in Missoula, Montana. This is his 4th check point. He will get some food and head out towards Canada. He guesses that he has about 2500 miles to go till the finish line. He is feeling well and one of the obstacle is to watch out for animals on the road.
