Is Power Commander only good for 2008 and earlier models? I just went to their website and they do not have an option for 2009 or 2010 models.

Smile tuning helps with the temps

I live in New Mexico and ride in 100 plus temps regularly in the summer. Run synthetic oil. Get a real good tune from a good dyno person to richen up. This will keep your temps good without having a cooler. I find my temps only get truly hot when I am riding in heavy traffic like stop and go and the days are over 100 degrees out. Other than that my bike never gets hot enough to cause any problems. I run a powercommander, good gualty oil and have a good tune. P.S my fuel mileage went up nicely after my dyno guy finished with the last runs. I am making around 75 horse and 82 trq with a 96 inch with thunderheader. big sucker and the pc tuner. I average 42 mpg city and get mid 50's on the highway.

Thanks... I am now thoroughly confused. Will I notice a differrence, or is it a small difference? .. and does this thing program itself, or doo I mess with the controls? Before I anything, I'll need to see how much I owe my Uncle Sam next week.

save the money and buy us all a beer

edit: i agree with all the above and you ready for this? i agree with charlie, its not going to work if your standing still when it gets warmer. also is 10 deg really worth it? will you really feel 10deg difference when your moving?
the power commander will need to "adjusted" to your set up. never dealt with one but hook up to your computer and program that way. so i hear

Hey, I'm a computer gur that writes programming all day long. But when it comes to programing something for any of my rides, it makes me pause.
