Cheryl and I are riding down in the cage for the next launch. Might have the G-kids with us, but not sure about that. Gonna be on 528 just before the last bridge to the beach.

Anybody else gonna watch the launch?

Anyone know of a better place to see this that won't be crowded, and will offer a better, closer view?

 

You can also go to any of the public beaches across from Patrick AFB on A1A usually a good view and not that crowded. Another great spot is Port Canaveral if you get there early fills up fast. You can also go to the parks on Merrit Island causway Rt. 520. I can see it from my back yard but it is about 25 miles away the night launches are great but day ones are not as good.

 

Since barbara is going to be away....I may just up get early and ride down to titusville
for breakfast.
I say I am going for breakfast...because chances are the shuttle won't go on-time anyhow. Breakfast will be on-time. (If the shuttle happens to go.....a bonus!)

 

After researching good viewing sites, Titusville is it. Cheryl and I are likely to get a hotel room down there instead of leaving home at 1 AM

 

95% sure I will be heading down there for breakfast too

 

Hotels are all filled up. We will be staying at my B-I-Ls in Merrit island, if he is home when my wife calls him.

So where is breakfast gonna be?

I'm not sure if we'll be near the bridge or at the park further south.

I have to work Monday morning....(so, so much for shuttle launches sunday night through Thursdays).
