Default Harley Windsheilds.. Windscreens.. whatever..

Does anyone know what they are made out of?

I have terrible night blindness, eveything is very blurry and I can't see the lines in the road, let alone the dang road. Makes BD crazy as I slow down a lot, take corners at a creep and hate being on a dark road.

But I noticed coming home last Saturday night from biketoberfest that if I leaned down and looked through the windscreen, I could see perfectly in the dark.

I need some clear glasses made of whatever that is, for night riding. Anyone have a clue?

I went and got my can of Plexus, I know its safe to use on the wimpshields..
Says here safe for the following trademark brands:
Plexiglass
Perspex
Lucite
Lexan
Acrylite
and all other types of acrylics

So does that mean its acrylic?
We all heard the term plexiglass, but it seems from this wording that it is a brand, not a material.

I got 5 bucks on "acrylic"

It is made of Polycarbonate. Lexan is a brand name that is usually used. Get Polycarbonate lenses and you'll be all set.

Regardless of what kind of glasses material you get, see your eye doctor and tell him about the night vision problem. Your eyes are too important not to tell the doctor. I have a similar problem, night vision, and have problems with the pressure in my eyes. It may be early warnings of glaucoma or something else. See what your eye doctor says. I want you to be safe and be at the rally.

Yes, get those eyes checked. Don't put it off. They are too important.
