I got my dream job - Moving to Atlanta area
I finalized my limited negotiations this afternoon for a job that took four technical phone interviews and two trips up there for face-to-face interviews with a total of seven engineers and three managers.
I accepted a position with McKesson Corp. (#15 on the fortune 500 list) who is located in Alpharetta Georgia. I start on Monday, September 28th. I will continue in my trade as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst.
I want to publicly thank Dave & Carol (GA Crew) who have a special place in my heart. Words alone will be inadequate to express my heart-felt thanks for all their support and contribution to making all of this so successful. Carol works at McKesson and was instrumental in getting my resume in front of the right people up there, and is such a huge cheerleader in my behalf.
Part of my compensation package is a generous allotment for relocation expenses. This takes all the pressure off of Patti for having to pack our "stuff". I have already started house hunting, and Patti has been active on the web with numerous real estate search sites.
We will sell our Palm Coast place and permanently move up there, most likely in the Cherokee County area. We have a year to take advantage of the relocation offering, so Patti will continue to work here while we wait for our house to sell. I'll come back to Florida every-other weekend, but, most likely, will get my Street Glide up there asap. I'll have Patti's bike here in Florida when I can take advantage of an afternoon out.
Zillions of details to be worked out, but I will trust everything will work out just fine.
No one will be able to stop me from remaining active on this forum, specifically, here in the Florida Crew section. Too soon to know anything about the Ocala Rally, Biketoberfest, etc. But trust that I will do everything to figure this out too.
So this isn't good bye, not even close. Hugs everyone!

Congratulations on the new job... We were wondering where you'd been this weekend on our Indian River Ride and now we know. We're gonna miss you around these parts, but I'm sure plenty will make the trip up there to visit.
We may get a chance to do more riding together in the future. Hadn't said much to anyone yet but the wife and I are considering a move to Tennessee this coming year.
