MB, I was going to leave on Friday but sense no one else is I got more time off work and am going to go up on Thursday. I looked up the rates at the Inn on the Beach and the three nights (Oct. 15-17) is $600. Is this in walking distance of the festivities? I would have to share to make this work.

Anyone interested in splitting the cost of the room?

It doesn't look like anyone else is leaving on Friday, so I took more time off work to ride up on with some of the crew on Thursday. Where are you going to be staying in Daytona Dana?

Main Street in Daytona is near the "300" block of North Atlantic.
1615 South Atlantic is not walking distance to Main Street.

Thanks Chuck. Do you know of a good place to stay that's closer to the action and a more reasonable rate?

Staying with friends in Orlando on Thursday night, then with other friends in Daytona the remainder of the trip.

That's a good deal.

Can you recommend any places to stay in Daytona?

Last year we stayed at the Daytona Beach Club - 800 N. Atlantic which is walking distance. Parked the bikes under the building on ground level. Maybe try there... Not the greatest place to stay, but was better than the reviews I read about it.

The motor unit of my shrine has 3 spaces every year at Daytona Bch Campground. We take 3 motor coaches/rv trailers/whatever and everyone pitches in. One of our guys is a chef and does all the cooking. We just pitch in on the expenses. Donno about sleeping accomodations yet, nor if there is any extra room or how many plan to attend yet.

How are you at tenting? Thats not my fav, but its only for a couple days and they have public showers everyone uses.
