I am NOT jumping out of an airplane or bungee jumping. When I was younger I was the daredevil type, but now I want to squeeze out as many days as I can.

02Aug2009: NEW INFO. Would be really cool if we could ride up Sat the 5th, party somewhere that afternoon/night, and do the jumps (and/or spectator thing) the next morning. Any suggestions on cheap hotels near DeLand, and a good place to party? Also, unconfirmed details as of yet, but think the jump is $180, cash only <-- now that there's funny!, and no reservations until 3-days before. The more jumpers, the merrier, so just say the word!

I made my first jumps in Deland back in 1971. No fancy chutes or tandem rigs. Military surplus canopies slightly modified and a Cessna 170 that could barely fit the jumpers and get off the ground.

The jump course was $50 from the college Skydiving Club and each static line jump was $5.00. The airport was a paved runway and quonset hut building. today it is somewhat "improved".

No worries. I'll put my finger under the scale so you come in at a petite 220lbs.

If ya run out of work over there, let us know. We've got thousands of them over here that keep jumping off boats and they're breeding like wildfire.
