Hmmm... you sure you want someone else's gun.
When I moved to Florida 10+ years ago, I had a Glock 9mm. I was driving one car, and shipping the other. The day I was leaving... I got worried about carrying a gun across state lines. My wife suggested bring it up the street and turn it in to the police station. I called my brother (a cop) and asked him. He said, "Great idea turning it in, I'm sure some cop would love to have it as a throw away". I took it in the backyard, smashed it with a 5 pound sledge hammer, then went out front and threw it in the ocean. I've regretted it since.
