That's just plain ole fud up dude...you need anything just gimme a shout...(SP thinks 2 Beers was so unhappy about not being able to attend the Rally..he walked in Monday and said "Take this job and shove it"......)..but look at the bright side...the OL is outa town and you don't have to work...party time!!!

Hate to revive this thread, but the axe fell my way today. I knew about Friday the 13th, but didn't know about Monday the 13th. Company RIF, and many of us 10yr+ vets were escorted out. I had over 13yrs. Things have been shaky since 2001, and lots of RIFs the last few years, so it's kindofa relief to get it over with.
I guess the good news, is I'll get my 401k and retirement money out before they can steal it from me.
Thank God I own a bike (or two) for good psychiatry sessions when needed. And, for humor retention and good friends to ride with, the FLA Crew. Both Godsends.

Hey man, sorry to hear. If you're like me, the Ocala Rally seems like it is one hundred years away. I haven't committed to attend because of not knowing anything about my fate.
I have a daily routine Mon-Fri where I check a half dozen websites, and I have my resume soaking on Monster and Dice. I have written to HR centers at several BIG companies and am networking with former associates who fell before me and are out on the job market.
My job search has expanded to out of state, my max entitlement to Florida unemployment benefits is a joke. ($275/week).
My advice is to stay vigilant with local and national job postings. Just about any job beats unemployment pay.

The good news is that now work obligations won't stop you from going to the Ocala Rally.
Hopefully, will have something by then. But...
Thanks to everyone for the gracious comments and support. My job is finding a way to produce an income, so that's what we'll do with our days and time. PoorBoy, hope you're hangin' in there (and anyone else having this much fun) and thanks for the tips and support.
