Tamiami Trail Ride 7/12/09

Wow, I screwed up. Froze my water last night, gassed up the bike. Got to Cafe 27 a half hour "early". I saw a group of riders gathering so I introduced myself and said I was going to hang on the back. Everyone there welcomed me. Then I said I was going to drop off somewhere after Shark Valley. I got a quizzical look as they said they were headed to Lake Occachobi ! 
It was 8:30 (I had a brain fart and thought the meet was at 9am)... They told me you folks had left a little while ago. Then invited me north with them, but I headed out alone and turned back at Shark Valley. Next time I will make a point to note the CORRECT time!
I was even prepared to go the whole ride had I decided to.
Hope you all hgad a great ride... I'm sure you did!

Made it home about 3:00pm. Jumped into the pool and played with the grandson. It was very nice to meet very one. A lot of new faces, and some old. It was Nice to see the east coaster not get to wet, that is amazing for this time of year. 
Sorry about not having any A/C at lunch, hope it wasn't too too hot.

Bertk and ArabShriner, thanks for meeting up with me this morning and letting me accompany you guys down there. That way I didn't feel like such a newbie when I got there. It was nice to meet some new ridin' buddies that live near me.
JustDave, thanks for gettin' that water for me at Stan's. I will take care of yours next time around!!

Or you could crash here at my house, I have a garage, plus you wont have to sleep next to the bike in the living room. Have an extra Bedroom for you and wife if ya bring her. Can put your bike in the Garage at night.
