Not a bad idea. Already been through 1 rear tire, of course that's with some help from a nail.

 

I vote to try Leapin Lizard this time if Bertk recommends it. Not sure about the Soldiers Benefit Run yet.

I almost need a new rear tire myself and am shopping for new wheels.

 

dunlop elite 3's got alot of hype as well as metzelers 880's
Of course it depends on the riding style and everyone is different.
Just throwin some research around bein helpful.

 

I wont make this bike night being im part of the cuba crew
But likely I will do the poker run nearby the next weekend.

 

I have Metz 880s now and will probably go back to them, but may try Avons because my Indy stocks them.

 

I have an avon cobra on my rear and so far so good Mike. about 3k on it and it looks barely used.

 

Ahh yes, heard a lil buzz about avons. Not as much, but it was mentioned so it must be in the top 5. Arent avons a little more high performance? stickier and wear faster

 

Thanks for the input Dave. The Metz were such an improvement over the Dunflops. I suspect Avons and Metz are probably on equal ground.
