Heading to Bike Week this weekend and will be staying, at least for a few days, at a buddy's condo in Kissimmee. Anything worthwhile going on in the area that I should check out? Been going to Daytona Bike Week and Biketoberfest for decades but could use some guidance on the Kissimmee/Orlando goins'-ons.

Actually, we visited some relatives in the Orlando area last summer. I was amazed how built up and congested it’s become. I can’t imagine riding in that area.

 

I like the event over in Deland if they have it this year).

 

Tell me more because I don't need nine days of the same old-same old if there's something else going on ... not that the same old-same old is that bad.

 

Pretty sure it's this Saturday, just Google Deland Rally. Ride Safe.

Also, I have friends coming Saturday to stay with me for the week. We're going to Daytona one day and the rest will be day trips either north or south.

 

Ace Cafe in Orlando is a worthy stop while you are there, upstairs they had a great exhibit of Michael Lichter MC photographs, not sure if it is still there. Check their website, they probably have some events scheduled to coincide with Bike Week.

 

It's just a smaller,less congested Daytona. They block off the streets for bike parking and have bands, food and that stuff. Don't remember seeing all the big wheel **** or bikes blasting crappy music.

 

I've wanted to check out Ace in Orlando but quite honestly it's a shitty ride from the Tampa area. Maybe not as bad from the north or east if you know some side roads.
