Default Sarasota Area

Hello, We have just relocated from the Daytona area to Sarasota. As I'm sure you all know there are endless places to ride in and around Daytona and no shortage of "biker" hangouts. We have learned that things are slightly different over here. We are looking for insight as to where people in the area people normally ride/hangout. So far we have ridden up to Woody's, gone to Stragglers, and down to Crescent Club but we are looking to get out and do more on the bikes over here. We are both upper 30's low 40's professionals that prefer to spend any off time on our bikes. My wife and I both ride and have our own bikes.

We would also be open to learning about organized rides in the area.

Thanks everyone.

Welcome to the area, I am about 35 miles north of you in Brandon/Valrico area. Yep, it's congested over in this area, I find the better riding north of the area. Up near Crystal River, Ocala, Clermont are good, stay moving rides. From your location you can jump on 64 eastward and ride for miles without stopping. Once you get inward you will be in the middle of the phosphate mines and discover a lot of open spaces that you wouldn't expect in Fl. Now if it would only cool down some.......

Hey Rysonn,

I am in Bradenton, and frequently ride down to the Sarasota Area. Can't say that I have found many biker establishments down there. But, If you come up this way there is Peggy's Corral, and the Tip Top Bar.

Peggy's: http://www.peggyscorral.net/
Bikes there on Saturday's and Sunday's

Tip Top is a tiny beer and wine only bar on Manatee Ave in Bradenton.

The times I have been to the Tip Top, there were only a few others in there, so i'm not sure how active it is.
