Default bad front o2 sensor

Bought a ysed 883 from local dealer and after doing my own digging found SOMONE had 'jumped out' the front o2 sensor quick disconnect- probably a bad sensor and the guy didnt have the money. Im gonna change it out myself but will I see codes? can I just clear them or do I have to go back to the guy in IOWA that sold me the bike

thanx folks- I have enough knoledge to be dangerous!

When you say "jumped out the front O2 sensor", what does that mean?
If there is a Power Comander on the bike there should be an O2 "eliminators" plugged into both cylinder O2 leads from the ECM.
Not enough info to know exactly what you are talking about,
Bob

Default How to break stuff

My error- your rite! it is a resister for the front o2 sensor it bypasses the o2 and the dynajet/commander 5 takes mixture control. The company was kind enough to sell me a new connector with the resister installed for my bike. A 40$ misteke but hey- you learn something every day- ive been stupid before its not the first time. Thank you for your help. After years in the construction trades Ive seen all kinds of morons 'jump' out failed safety etc, so I thught the previous owner had bypassed the 90$ o2 sensor-have some good hollidays!
