If two bikes are virtually identical in model, year, headers, slip-on's and a/c is there any reason that if one bike is professionally dyno tuned, the other bike can not download that calibration rather than having to dyno each bike separately?
Yea, always differences between bikes. Also, from the tuner's standpoint you'd be cheating him. This is possibly why some tuners lock their tunes......
jbarr1, yes - that's sort of what I was expecting. Using as a good base or starting point for flight recorder and vtune as it's bound to be closer than a canned map.
Usually works well as a starter map, but even if you have flow matched heads, intake, pipe and injectors, still gonna need dialed in. Engines have personalities, too.
