what map do I start with?? vh fp3
I just purchased a vh fp3 for my 2014 streetglide, I ordered a k&n drop in ac,and a set of rinehart hi flow baffles for my 3.5" slipons along with the fp3. From what I understand the fp3 really only has maps oriented around vance and hines products(I dont physically have the tuner yet, still waiting on the big brown truck) Does anyone have a particular map they started with that has a similar setup as me? Decatted stock header,3.5" slipons with hi flow baffles and the air cleaner. Should I just start with a generic exhaust/ac map and run an auto tune for a couple tanks of fuel and see what it spits out? Id rather not auto tune if someone has a map that will get it pretty close, only because Ive heard an auto tune map sometimes will come out worse than what you started with. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou!

I ended up getting ahold of vh tech support and they said to load the map for power duals and round slashcut slipons with a highflow air cleaner, if it runs ok let it adjust itself for a couple tanks but if it starts running worse than I can send them the map and they will adjust it. I'll try that and go from there. Thanks for the help!

Since it is a basic stage 1. Pick the generic and go with it. Looking at a lot of these starter cals that manufacture offer and the one floating around. The only big difference is the VE table. Auto tuning will get this table mapped for what you have on it.
I find it funny that now auto tune doesn't work. Just after VH changed their bung strategy and now supply adapters. But when I talked to them on the phone when I got my first Xpipe with adapters. They told me adapters do not affect a tune in anyway. I called BS then and I still call it now. Garbage in, garbage out. If the sensors aren't getting a good enough signal to auto tune with. How are they getting a good enough signal to control a closed loop tune?
