Hi all, I have a 110 cvo springer soft tail and have recently bought a new fat bob with the stage 4 103inch conversion. The gear ratios on the 110 are much higher than the fat bob. In top gear at 70 on the bob the engine is spinning around 3k rpm, on the 110 its 5 or 600 rpm less. I have asked my dealer why the raios are different and he does'nt know why, because on paper they are the same. Any sugestions?
I have a big cam in my bike and recently replaced the sprocket with a 30 tooth sprocket to give it a little more bump when changing gears. Went from 2600 rpm at 70 mph to about 2900 rpm. A guess would be that they've done something similar.
Thanks Pardner, I actually like the long legs of the 110, and want to acheive the same with my Fat bob. I suppose the answer is bigger sprocket on the front and smaller on the rear. The only thing is, I dont know what my options are.
