Just a suggestion, something like this would tidying it up. I would even drill and Carter key the back side. However, if they wanted it, the console would be next.

However, I personally would never do that.

I have a conceal carry but plan ahead and don't travel on my bike now.

I have new anti tamper bolts, just haven't put them on yet. Thanks for the info.

" Hey look at me I have a gun locked to my bike" You see a gun on a bike are you more or less likely to **** with him?

"Can you quickly get to it if needed? No, cause it's it's frkn locked." Yup, its handy and your dead.
Unfortunately, kinda expected this response. Good luck with your recovery.

I'll answer the question. Yes it's dumb for a cop to have a weapon mounted to a bike. It's dumb for anyone to have a weapon mounted to a bike.... out in the open..... for anyone to mess with. So no, it's not a double standard.

In the context of an actual life threatening situation, which is the only time a gun should even come into play, then yes he's much more likely to be ****ed with because he's a known armed threat, also known as the the first target to take out.

"answer the question. Yes it's dumb for a cop to have a weapon mounted to a bike. It's dumb for anyone to have a weapon mounted to a bike.... out in the open..... for anyone to mess with." I work at the national guard here in New Mexico, every day i see weapons mounted to vehicles, Pretty dump huh?
"So no, it's not a double standard." in your opinion
"which is the only time a gun should even come into play" again, your opinion.

"It's dumb for anyone to have a weapon mounted to a bike" it would be easier to disarm an open carry then to try to take a mounted gun.

Apples and oranges in the context of what's being discussed. I'd bet dollars to donuts that if a guardsman left a weapon mounted to a vehicle unattended in the public, just as any cop or citizen would have to leave his bike unattended in public, that disciplinary action would be taken against him because it's an irresponsible thing to do.

True it is my opinion that an actual life threatening situation is the only time a gun should ever come into play but it's also an opinion shared by the overwhelming majority of defensive shooting instructors.

I'm not a fan of open carry regardless if it's on your body or mounted to your bike so I won't argue that.

While I'm not a fan, I respect that it was a project you did while recovering from heart surgery. If it got you on your feet and moving, more power to you.

While most of us on here are probably gun owners/enthusiasts, we will never agree on the details. 9mm vs .45, AR vs AK, glock vs anything else LOL

We are talking about weapon mounted to vehicles, No difference to me

"True it is my opinion that an actual life threatening situation is the only time a gun should ever come into play" You can say it but its not true. guns are used in all ways 24-7 365. In a perfect world maybe but we know that just isn't so HUH? So do crooks believe in your philosophy?

"defensive shooting instructors." Again, you can say it, doesn't make it true. "defensive" what about offensive instructors?
