Leave was amazing. In 15 days I was able to spend time with the wife and daughter, see the HD museum in Wisconsin, put 800 miles on the new Fatboy, drink plenty of beer, and take a hang gliding lesson.

Every since then it has been long days without a day off. It is starting to slow down a bit for me now so I am getting time to browse the forum and read some of the many biker mags that folks have sent us.

I am in the wrapping things up here and preparing to come home in less that two months. Not many things make you appreciate freedom of movement and free time like this. In the coming year I will certainly be taking my vacation time for relaxation and recreation. Much riding and much travel will be in my future.

As for the bike, this little trip to Afghanistan paid off. I got a black denim 2009 Fatboy and a 4 year waranty for 15.4K Compared to what I have ridden in the past, it drives like a caddy. Some bags, a windshield, 13/14" apes, sissy bar, and some highway pegs are planned.
