My son is with the 1st/22nd Infantry, 1BCT, 4ID stationed at FOB Falcon, Iraq

 

Our Boy just began his 2nd Tour of Iraq, We are taking care of the Girl and Grand kids till he returns.
Prayers are always good!

Just posted on another thread that our son will be finishing his third deployment in Feb '09.

Things we have been sending over the years (!) are drink crystals of any kind.

He also likes the powdered protein drink mix (mama gets it at GNC) like the body builder stuff.

Flea collars - yep some of the guys put them on their arms and legs to keep the critters off. Insect repellant with DEET is good too.

Magazines of any kind. Letters! Not email. Hometown newspapers are good too.

Granola bars - easy to carry, really don't spoil and don't taste half bad either.

Also there is a family support group at his base (Ft Carson) that we belong to, mama keeps in touch with them via email, anything interesting that happens in the family gets a little mention in th unit newsletter.
