Default Sportster S windshield

Anyone find a windshield solution other than the one that Harley has on their website? I ordered it from the the dealer in December, and keep getting delivery dates that are longer out each time I check on it's status. About to cancel the order and apply the payment to some dyno tuning the dealer is going to do on my bagger.

I would still like to find something to get the wind above my head.

While I don't have a windshield alternative, I can tell you that the Harley windshield will NOT get the wind above your head. It smaller than it looks in the photos and the wind will come to your shoulders under the helmet. For reference I'm 5' 9". A lot of my commute is highway and when the weather is warm out this is just the way I like it.

Thank you for the recommendation, I bought the same Amazon windshield. Could you post a picture of how/where you mounted it on the backside?

I just ordered the one from Amazon. The Harley one has been backordered for "8 weeks" for 5 weeks so far. :-) Thanks for the tip!! SippenO I am with Dog, would you mind posting a pic from the back so I can get a better idea of how you install it?

So I just installed the Amazon wind shield and went on a test ride. 90% of my riding is done on the highway at 80+ mph. I tend to get wore out pretty fast from all of the wind directly hitting my chest. The wind shield does make a HUGE difference. I am about 5’10 and the wind now is primarily hitting the top of my shoulders and helmet. I no longer feel like I’m hanging on to the bike at high speeds. It has risen the wind volume inside of my helmet considerably, to the point that at 80+ it start to become painful which did not happen before.
