When installing, do not use the rubber strips since they will cause the clamps not to be able to shut enough. Without the rubber strips be very careful not to scratch the handle bars.

Dog, thank you so much this is great information. Bummer about the helmet noise. I'll let you know my experience with that once I get it. I am 5'5" so hopefully the wind will pass over me. I am the same as you with 90% highway riding. Florida is long, straight and boring.

What's up with that car? The Rocket Bunny?? Whatever it is I love the paint. :-)

I'd take a chop saw to those extension bars, to keep from potentially hitting the tank, then a little touch up paint to cover exposed metal.

Once again, that windshield really looks good for a generic amazon product.

I agree, that will probably be the next step. When installing I did ensure that the rods did not hit during full turn.

FWIW, I ordered the Amazon product, cancelled the HD windshield. 6 weeks later, still 8 weeks out for shipping. Quite frustrating.

Are all the windshields on that container ship that was stuck in the Chesapeake Bay?

I am not sure, about 3 months ago I saw them available on the HD website but that only lasted about 2 days. I was going to order the HD one but saw there was an 8 week wait and could not bare the wind for much longer. Figured the Amazon one at $60 was worth a shot and it was delivered 3 days later. I would also suggest putting cloths on your turn signals to ensure you do not scratch them.

Good idea. I always forget to cover the areas around where I am working when I do installs.

The Amazon one I think looks nicer.
