Just wanted to check in. Starting to get pretty active again as I'm currently in project mode again.
I'd like to add that I've seen a lot of great looking bikes out there and would like to thank all for the inspirations. I also been haven't been able to log into my youtube accnt (one nightster in vegas) oh well.
Anyways don't take this image too seriously. Yes thee is a 48 tank now. It's been on for a year now. I just put the RSD Short Stack bars on yesterday when I took this pic, and i'm getting ready to run the wires internally (pain in the ***)
Things to come for this progect- paint job based off fords 1959-1962 work truck series. Head light mounting adjustment. Seat shock going back on, slammed fender unique mods. Vintage grips. Bitwell risers. Front signal relocation (arlen ness low pro kit) battery/oil cover mods, pin stripes. End result well be freakin amazing. Hopefully 6 weeks from now I will be done.
Ugh! Don't even ask. I was going through a phase, much like my long hair, flannel and shredded jeans in the 90's. I had originally got inspired by a builder who built a bike called the "Gooch" but it didn't. Come out so well for me. Also wanted to try out my shocks again with some custom struts on the fender that I made. Notice the stock bars are back on and inverted.

Just browsing through some old files and ran across a series of pics that I can't remember if I ever shared or not. so here they are. unedited so I apologize for the large size but sometimes it's best this way.
Important to note that not all front ends are created equal! In my case I was always missing a bit of true balance due to a bit of incorrect rake and travel. (google rake/travel there's a theory to it) My slow turns felt a bit heavy, and after more than a year of riding like this I decided that Fuctionality would be best for me. Also important to note that using the correct springer has much to do with it. I admit I forced this particular prat onto my bike and it was something I wanted to try out even before I saw a few others. To this day....I love my stock front end..haha. trial and error. Such a rookie I am, but hey the look looks cool I guess.
