just sold the wifes 1200 customs so I have the Mustang solo w/backrest & bib.

seat is in great shape, used maybe 500 miles, wife says it was the most comfortable seat she has ever used.

Any idea how much the backrest itself would run? What happened to the backrest that came with it?

 

I have seen backrests on Ebay that work with the Mustang seats, I was looking at 1 auction a while back that went for under $70 I have also seen them come up in different forums around the same $$$.

I still have the backrest but use it on my Road Glide.

Don't want to hijack, so PM if you prefer. Can you take closeups of what allows this seat to take a backrest?

Mustang says the Vintage Solo can't be modified, yet I hate adding another 2" width going to the wide just to get the backrest if I can fab something instead.
