I just use a 1500lb bike jack that cost me $49.00. Why would such an expensive lift like the one you linked to be needed? And can you rotate both wheels while it's lifted?

Mine just jacks it up from under the middle of the frame, leaving both wheels free wheeling. Thousands of bikers use them.

I truly don't understand why anyone would need an expensivejack like this one, and I'm not trying to be sarcastic or demeaning or anything like that, I'm just truly interested and curious in the reasoning for one like this. I've never used one, so I simply don't know the luxury benefits of one like this, if any.

Mine is like this one from Harbor Freight, only I got mine at Cycle Gear for around $50 bucs:

I just use tie downs with it to keep my bike steady, and it works fine. Just used it the other day to replace some rocker cover gaskets on one of my twins.

Zeb,

A table lift and a frame lift are for two different kinds of work. If I remember correctly, the guy already has a frame lift.

I would like to have the same table lift for doing engine work. Less bending over, and a nice place to lay your parts.

I have a buddy that can get the HF table lift for me for 250 bucks. I just do not have a place for it right now.
