At what mileage did you replace your clutch?

The only reason most people are going in there is to replace the springplate (with 2 steel, 1 friction plate) before potential failure.
And, it's only the rubbermount bikes that seem to have this issue. See XLforum.net for more information. I think it's only about 2-4% of the rigids versus about 40-50% of the rubbermounts that reported spring plate failure.
Otherwise, there is no reason your clutch can't go 50K miles or more.

Too me it was for the firmer clutch and preveting a potential failure. Even at stage 1 it didn't feel strong enough and planning more engine mods later was my reason. Now I start back over with my Dyna.

I ran my stock Evo clutch (same as a Sporty one) four times as far, until replacing it with a plus 1 Barnett kit, but that was only to try to improve clutch operation, not because it is worn out. Much of that mileage was with an 89" stroker motor, followed by a 107" engine. So you have a lifetime to wait!

I was intent on using my stock clutch for as long as possible. And since I don't ride hard, I thought I'd wait till it breaks. Then when it broke, it damaged my clutch basket as well (or so the stealership said) and I had to buy a new one.
