Put a Barnett plate set (no riveted plate) in my '04 1200 a little over 30,000. All the rivets were loose, but none had come out yet. I doubt it would have lasted much longer. The Barnett plates are working fine with the original spring plate.

If I bought a new one, I'd get rid of that rivet mess right away so I'd never have to worry about it, heard of too many coming apart with 15K or less. For most sporty riders, they'll never put enough miles on to need replacing a Barnett or some of the other aftermarket plate sets that eliminate that riveted mess. It's the only weak spot I've worried about on my sportsters, very solid and reliable bikes otherwise.

I have more than 92,000 miles on original clutch. It acts a little funny if I keep the lever pulled in too long, but then returns to normal.
